Technology has grown to an extent that things we used to think about 20 years back have become reality now. The world now runs at the click of button and is being ruled by a chip that has transformed both, the way we live and the place that we in.
Most of the new buildings are using advanced technology which includes surveillance and security instruments that range from smart cards, video recordings, and infrared sensors to biometric usage at the entrance points. Most of these buildings also use advanced fire resistant technology and fire sensors which have automatic sprinklers. The concept of lifts have also changed from being just a carriage to something similar to a sports car that promises fast , luxurious, comfortable and safe entry and exit at the desired floor. These gadgets have one thing as a priority and it is the minimum use of energy and therefore they are moving towards usage of more and more non conventional energy sources like solar power etc.
All these features are no longer the sole proprietorship of apartments but have gone way ahead and are being implemented in the designs of most modern smart homes. Wireless communication has changed the way we lead our life. We only need a mouse and a keyboard to control the wheels of our life. Web cams sensors that regulate everything from doors to windows are examples of it.
All said and done these products still use a huge part of energy and therefore regulating energy consumption and saving energy should be a matter of prime concern.
